Dr. Xiu Tang is an Assistant Professor at the School of Software Engineering, Zhejiang University. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Databse from Zhejiang University in 2023. Her primary research areas encompass database query optimization and data intelligence. Her research findings have been published in top international academic conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, and ICDE. Furthermore, her impactful contributions have been implemented within Alibaba Cloud’s PolarDB, showcasing her pioneering query optimization strategies and adeptly addressing validation intricacies in optimizer engineering. Dr. Tang has being honored with the SIGMOD 2023 Best Paper Award and the Alibaba Outstanding Research Intern distinction.
